Tanks function so that you are able to maintain the plumbing system.
The septic tank can be accessed through the plumbing pipes. The septic tank is situated on the property and set underground. The septic tank stores the wastewater as it segregates to three separate layers: scum liquid(effluent) and sludge.
A combination of oil and fats called scum. It floats to the surface. The liquid that is in the middle is termed effluent. The solid waste , or sludge is located at the bottom of the tank. There might be multiple compartments, filters, or microbes to aid in treating the wastewater.
After the wastewater has been processed and separated, it is then delivered to the bafflepipe. The baffle pipe transports the water to a specialized field, known as a leach field , or drain field. The soil used in this field has been specially made to be cleaned of the effluent even more before it’s pumped back into groundwater.
